St Agnes, Chapel Porth and Porthtowan great beaches to learn to surf

Relax and enjoy a surf lesson on the clean, uncrowded coast around St Agnes. A good variety of beaches mean we can find appropriate conditions on most days of the year.

Much of this coast is cared for by the National Trust, and with a large Marine Conservation Area lying just off shore dolphins, seals and basking sharks are often daily visitors.

The right angle bend in the coast at St Agnes that seperates Trevaunance Cove and Chapel Porth provides the ideal conditions to learn to surf.

The West facing aspect of Chapel Porth and Porthtowan mean they catch any swell going, which is great if its small, but not so ideal for learning to surf if its huge!

When the surf's big or the wind is strong, and other surf schools would be letting you get thrashed in the white water, we can still tuck in a lesson at Trevaunance Cove (often called St Agnes Beach), sheltered from the wind and with smaller surf this is often the ideal location for a surf lesson.
